Mumbai Games Carrom Event

  1. Format:
    1. The Carrom tournament will be played on league + knock out basis.
    2. All players will be representing their respective zones.
    3. The draws will be based on Seeding obtained from the official association. If there are no or limited seeding, the draws would be done randomly.

  1. Points:
    1. For All Categories -
      1. All the matches before Pre-Quarters will be of 8 boards best of 1 game or 25-points (whichever is earlier).
      2. Pre-Quarters onwards, each match will be of 8 boards best of 3 games or 25-points (whichever is earlier in each game)
  1. In case of tie of points during any game, the player with the maximum points will be the winner.
  2. Timing – 30 minutes will be allocated for 1 game (of 25 points or 8 boards whichever is earlier). In case the game does not come to an end in the given time, the team/player with maximum points at the end of 30 minutes will be adjudged winner. However the last board being played at that time will be completed.
  3. All other Standard rules of Carrom apply.
  4. Medals will be awarded only to the 1st 3 positions. Only points for the fourth position will be considered in order to calculate the Team points.
  5. Team Points for each position for ‘Mumbai Games Champions Trophy ‘will be provided in the following way –
        1. Gold – 100 points
        2. Silver – 75 points
        3. Bronze – 50 points
        4. Fourth Place - 25 points
  1. Equipments:
    1. Participants will have to get their own Strikers. However, the striker should meet the following criteria:
      1. The striker will have a weight of 15 gms (max)
      2. The circumference gauge of the striker will not be more than 1.58 gauge.
      3. Ivory strikers are not allowed in the tournament.
    1. All other equipments – board, coins, powder etc will be provided.
  1. Other Rules:
    1. Players will NOT be allowed to enter the venue without an ID proof.
    2. Players should always wear their Mumbai Games BIB.
    3. Players found without the BIBs will be disqualified.
    4. Please report to the venue at least 60 minutes before the scheduled time.
    5. Players have to register at the registration desk at least 30 min prior to the start of their round.
    6. Audience and supporters are NOT allowed on the playing area.
    7. Players have to clarify the rules with the referee before the start of the match.
    8. No abusive language, violence or arguments will be allowed. If found so the player/team will be disqualified.
    9. The Referees and/or organizers will take the final decision for all matters pertaining to the event/tournament.
    10. In case of dispute, players have to submit a formal written complaint within 15 minutes from the occurrence of the dispute. Referee Decision will be final and binding.
    11. The Referees decision will be final and binding for all matters pertaining to the event/tournament

ALL TECHNICAL RULES WILL BE CLARIFIED AT THE EVENT DAY.
